OUR  FUNDERS

DVSC benefits from Welsh Government funding which is administered by the Wales Council for Voluntary Action. This core funding enables DVSC to exist.  Core funding has currently been committed for April 2018-end of March 2020 for all Third Sector Support Wales partners. WCVA administers Third Sector Support Wales funding to DVSC on behalf of the Welsh Government.

The Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) funds DVSC as the membership body for the third sector in Denbighshire to deliver health,  social care and wellbeing engagement activities with and on behalf of the third sector through a grant agreement.

DVSC does not receive core funding from the Council but currently has two small service level agreements to deliver Community Support Services and to administer Welsh Church Act grants to the voluntary and community sector in Denbighshire.

DVSC generates incomes from membership fees, training, bespoke consultancy (for members and partners) and by winning service level agreements, specifically in the area of grant fund management and distribution.  We are actively looking to partner with Denbighshire or North Wales businesses interested in doing good in the community and can provide cause related marketing and events sponsorship opportunities. Contact Helen, our Chief Executive, helenw@dvsc.co.uk if you would like to discuss ways we can work together to add value and build resilient communities through voluntary action.

BECOME A SUPPORTER

Hello again … … today we have a small favour to ask. Volunteers, voluntary and community action and the third sector are at the heart of building more sustainable and resilient communities and we need them more than ever.

DVSC receives core funding from the Welsh Government but we need to raise more money so that we can continue to provide excellent sector support - whether you're a volunteer,  voluntary and community group or a third sector organisation.

We can provide a wealth of information and resources and we want to keep our services as accessible as we can, and to reach as many groups as we can.  So we think it’s fair to ask people who visit us often for their help - if they feel able to give it.

Our Sector Support service is resource intensive, but we are investing in it because we believe providing support to volunteers, voluntary and community groups, charities, social enterprises and community interest companies - has to be at the heart of what we do. If you like what we are about, and you want to help support it, our future would be much more secure.
